SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING VIDEO RECORDING OF VIDEO TAPE RECORDER

PURPOSE:To improve the operability of video recording by deciding the presence of a video signal from the presence of a horizontal synchronizing signal by a system controller and switching automatically recording/recording temporary stop in accordance with the decision. CONSTITUTION:The video signal from a tuner 3 or an input terminal 4 is outputted with the switching signal of a system controller 9 according to user's selection by a switching device 5 when a VTR1 is in a video recording operation state. Further, automatical switching is not performed and the video signal from the device 5 is outputted to a horizontal synchronizing signal generating device 8 by a switching device 7. The horizontal synchronizing signal is generated with the video signal and sent to a video recording control part 15 by the device 8 and the presence of the video signal is judged from the presence of the synchronizing signal by the video recording control part 15. Then, the instruction of the recording temporary stop is sent to respective parts of the VTR1 from the device 9 when that the video signal is changed to no presence from presence is judged. Further, the instruction of the release of stop is sent from the device 9 when to presence from no presence is judged. Thus, the operability is improved by cutting automatically no video signal part.
