Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To diagnose the cause of the occurrence of the fault of equipment and indicate a processing, and to collect and analyze a past record as quality information and feedback it to a factory. CONSTITUTION:A tree indicating the relation of cause and effect of the fault is prepared from the structure or characteristic of the equipment, and the tree is retrieved from the phenomenon at the time of the occurrence of the fault of the equipment which is being used by a customer, so that the cause of the fault of the equipment can be searched, and the means of adjustment or repair can be indicated. And also, the shape of the tree and a probability indicating the intensity of the relation of cause and effect are updated. As for the processing operated to the fault of a product, information concerned with the occurrence of the fault such as the date, phenomenon and processing are collected from a spot, stored in a data base, the factor of the failure and the inclination of the occurrence of the fault or the like concerned with the product is analyzed by using one part or the entire part of the information stored in the data base as an object, and feedbacked to each section of a design, manufacture, and inspection or the like. Thus, a system in which the quality of the product can be improved can be constituted.
