DETECTING METHOD OF TILT FALL OF SAGGAR IN TUNNEL KILN FOR MANUFACTURING SPONGE IRON

PURPOSE:To prevent collapse from occurring by transmitting laser beams toward the other port from one port along the left and right sides of a tunnel kiln, receiving laser beams and detecting the tilt fall of saggar by the interruption of laser beams. CONSTITUTION:Laser transmitters 12 emitting laser beams 14 along the sidewalls of a tunnel kiln 6 and laser receivers 13 receiving laser beams are installed onto both sidewalls, and connected to the laser transmitters 15 and laser receivers 16 of laser converters 17. When saggar 10 is moved by a saggar truck 5, laser beams 14 are set so as to be interrupted when saggar 10 is tilted. Consequently, when saggar 10 is inclined, the laser receivers 13 do not receive beams, and the laser receivers 16 output tilt fall detecting signals 18 to an alarm panel 19. The alarm panel 19 gives an alarm while outputting an interlock signal 21, thus stopping a saggar truck driving panel 20. It is preferable that the arrangement of the transmitters 12 and the receivers 13 is reversed left and right.
