Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain readily producible nonwoven fabric useful as an air filter material to be attached to an inlet and an outlet of air conditioner, comprising a specific metal fiber layer, having excellently deodorizing and smell annulling effects by binding the metal fibers with a thermoplastic binder. CONSTITUTION:Nonwoven fabric comprising one layer or a laminate of two or more layers of metal yarn composed of an iron compound linked to ascorbic acid (preferably L-ascorbic acid) and/or citric acid, obtained by binding the metal yarn 1 with a thermoplastic resin 2. The nonwoven fabric, for example, is obtained by feeding metal yarn consisting essentially of ferrous sulfate linked to L-ascorbic acid or citric acid, supplying polypropylene containing an antimicrobial agent, thermally sealing the polypropylene to the metal yarn by heat rolls, further repeating the similar operations and laminating the sealed materials.
