PAPER SHEET TRANSFER DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent printing sheets from making into close contact with the support surface of a guide plate for supporting the printing sheets so as to transfer the same one by one, by forming protrusions for supporting a sheet at its top part, and recesses for diffusing liquid sticking to the outer surface of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:A sheet transport device 1 for a wet-type printing device comprises guide plates 4 each having a through-hole in which a feed roller 2 as a transport mechanism is journalled, having such a structure that a pair of guide plates 4 are arranged at predetermined positions in a body housing 5 so as to form a sheet transfer path. In this arrangement, a soft sheet-like concave and convex member 7 composed of a heat insulating sheet 8 having one surface on which several glass beads are stuck by a glue 9 is applied on the outer surface of each of the guide plates 4. Accordingly, hemispherical protrusions may be formed on the support surface of the guide plate 4 by means of the glass beads 10, and recesses for diffusing liquid such as a solvent under the surface tension thereof are formed between the beads, thereby it is possible to prevent a sheet from making into close contact with the support surface 11.
