MARINE PROPELLER WITH PROTRUSION

PURPOSE:To improve propeller efficiency in a propeller used for the propulsion of a marine vessel by appropriately adjusting water flow on the propeller blade surface especially during the rotating action of the propeller. CONSTITUTION:In a marine propeller, protrusions 2 capable of suppressing water flow in the radial direction (y-direction) from the center of the propeller are provided along the circumferential direction at the hull rear side surface 1a of a propeller blade 1. The radial flow along the propeller blade surface 1a is thereby changed into the flow in the direction (z-direction) to be utilized for the propulsion of a hull so as to improve propeller efficiency.
