CYLINDER WASHING APPARATUS FOR PRINTING MACHINE

PURPOSE: To clean the cylinder surface effectively in a shot time. CONSTITUTION: A pressing pad 12 to press cleaning cloth 8 against a cylinder 10 is mounted on the front part of a stay supported by a side plate 4. A cleaning cloth feed roll and a cleaning cloth wind-up roll are equipped on the back part of the stay. The cleaning cloth is continuously or intermittently fed matching the cleaning timing. A cross unit vibrating mechanism to vibrate a cross unit 1 in the direction orthogonal against the rotation direction of the cylinder onto a back plate 2. The cross unit is slidably retained along the axis direction of the cylinder by a slide block 18 in the cross unit side and a slide guide in the stay 26 side of the device. Vibration is applied by a cam 30 equipped at the center of the backside of the back plate 2 or a drive source using an air cylinder.
