MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To correct deviation in a counter and to improve accuracy of start and finish points in a magnetic recording/reproducing device provided with a function to repeatedly reproduce the part between optical two points or multipoints by using the counter. CONSTITUTION:A counter data comparator compares 5 a counter data memory 6 for start/finish points with a counter 3 to count the running amount associated with the tape running, and the running of tape is controlled to the unwinding or reproducing state at the finish point or start point stored in the counter data memory 6 for start/finish points through a running control circuit 4. By a counter control circuit 1, when a function ON/OFF setting switch is in the ON state, the control is made so as to start the reproduction, after the unwinding is performed up to the start point of tape winding for every prescribed number of times of reproduction through the running control circuit 4 and the counter is reset.
