Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide the production of a liquid crystal display device by which the uniform and accurate gap of a liquid crystal cell can be obtained and the liquid crystal display device having excellent display quality is easily obtained. CONSTITUTION:After arranging a spacer 8 on at least either of 1st and 2nd substrates 1 and 2 where conductive electrodes 3 and 4 are formed on their main surface sides, the 1st and the 2nd substrates 1 and 2 are sealed through specified gap by a sealing agent 7, and liquid crystal 9 and the spacer 8 are interposed in the gap in this production. In the case of arranging the spacer 8 on at least either of the 1st and the 2nd substrates 1 and 2, an elastic wave is propagated to the substrate 1 and a standing wave is generated on one main surface of the substrate 1.
