PRODUCTION OF GRANULATED PIG IRON

PURPOSE:To mass-produce solid granulated pig iron by fixedly arranging inclined base boards having shape of two or more stepping states at a position flowing down the molten iron and granulating the flow-down molten iron. CONSTITUTION:The molten iron 1 is received into an iron receiving body 2 and supplied into a molten iron supplying trough 4 providing a skimmer 3. The molten iron 1 separated slag is almost vertically flowed down from a supplying weir 5. The flow-down molten iron 1 is collided against the base boards 7, 9, and after granulating, this molten iron is solidified with a water vessel 10. Then, the inclined base boards 7, 9 having the shape of two or more stepping states are fixedly arranged at the position flowing down the molten iron 1, and the flow-down molten iron is granulated with plural inclining base boards 7, 9 and the width of the flow-down molten iron is adjusted. By this method, the use of the outer energy can be eliminated.
