Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To downsize a motor-driven toothbrush and enhance the freedom in designing it by a method wherein the actual contact pressure of the toothbrush is detected through the load current of a motor and compared with a reference pressure which is electrically set, and the compared result is annunciated by an annunciator. CONSTITUTION:An optimum contact pressure for a user is selected by an optimum pressure setting device 3. For example, when the contact pressure is set at 200g, a current value corresponding to the set contact pressure is taken out from the optimum pressure setting device 3 and input to a comparator 4 as the reference current value. On the other hand, when a toothbrush is actually used at a contact pressure, a load current corresponding to the actual contact pressure flows through a motor 2, and input to the comparator 4 to compare it with the reference current value. The compared result is annunciated by an annunciator 5, for example, by an LED in color. When the compared result shows the contact pressure is within the allowable range, it is indicated in green. A short pressure is indicated in red, and an excess pressure in orange-color. The user observes the color of the LED and adjusts the actual contact pressure to use the toothbrush at an optimum pressure. |
