VIDEO CAMERA

PURPOSE:To record a voice signal simultaneously synchronously with and in interlocking with a start/stop operation of video recording at the video recording by incorporating a receiver and a transmission control section to a video camera main body. CONSTITUTION:An ancillary microphone 4 used to record an external surrounding voice signal is provided to a video camera main body 1, which incorporates a receiver 2 receiving a radio signal including a radio broadcast voice signal. A transmission control section 3 built in the video camera main body 1 sends a control signal commanding reproduction and transmission start/stop to an external sound source device from a transmission reception antenna 5 in interlocking with the operation of starting/stopping video recording. Thus, as soon as the video camera main body 1 starts video recording, an external wireless sound source device starts voice reproduction. Similarly, as soon as the video recording is stopped, the sound source device stops the reproduction and transmission of the voice signal. Thus, not only the voice signal at the image pickup environment is recorded by the ancillary microphone 4 but also the reproduced voice intended for additional recording is simultaneously recorded.
