ELASTIC ROLLER

PURPOSE:To obtain an elastic roller, useful for pressurizing treatment of sheetlike materials and excellent in shape stability by laminating specific nonwoven fabrics so as to intersect a roller shaft at right angles, strongly compressing the nonwoven fabrics in the shaft direction with end plates arranged on both outer sides and specifying the crystallinity of fiber. CONSTITUTION:The objective roller is obtained by laminating many sheets of nonwoven fabrics 1 formed by randomly entangling preferably polypropylene fiber so as to intersect a roller shaft 2 at right angles, strongly compressing both ends of the resultant laminate of the nonwoven fabrics 1 in the shaft direction with end plates 3 and 4 arranged on both outer sides thereof and regulating the crystallinity of the fiber constituting the nonwoven fabrics to >=35% (preferably >=40%).
