Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To increase the thickness of an outer electrode at the edge part of an element, by forming a layer of electrode material paint of high viscosity on a flat surface, and dipping the end portion of the element in the layer of the electrode material paint. CONSTITUTION:Electrode material paint is made to flow on a flat surface, and a layer 12 of electrode material paint is formed. The paint of high viscosity which is in the range from 30000 to 80000cPs by an E-type viscometer is used. By dipping the end portion of an element 10 in the layer 12 of the electrode material paint, the paint is made to adhere to the end portion of the element 10, and a film 14 of the electrode material is formed. Thereby the obtained edge part of an outer electrode of an electronic component can be thick as compared with the electronic component formed by the conventional method.
