CONSTITUTION:Over-charging is made in an alkaline aqueous solution consisting of KOH as matrix and Li0H in an amount 2-20mol% of KOH to produce gamma- NiOOH and a nickel positive electrode 1 is formed. An alkaline storage battery is fabricated from this nickel positive electrode 1 and the mentioned alkaline aqueous solution as the electrolytic solution.
