Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To increase bonding strength with an object and reduce the cost by using a water stop plate prepared through adding to asphalt such constituents as a rubber material, a rubber material plus plastics, or rubber material plus fiber. CONSTITUTION:A rubber material such as thermoplastic rubber. or a rubber material plus plastics, or rubber material plus fiber is added to asphalt to form a water stop plate 1. It may also be acceptable that plastics plus fiber, or plastic plus organic fiber is added to asphalt to construct the same. This water stop plate 1 is used at the joint 3 between concrete portions 2, 2 for waterproofing etc. Thereby the bonding strength with concrete 2 is increased compared with a water stop plate of butyl type, and void generation is prevented even though the concrete portions 2, 2 make movement to permit maintaining the water shutoff performance, and further this admits adoption of cheap asphalt to lead to reduction of the cost.
