Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a fluid having high coefficient of traction over a wide range of temperatures, excellent in performances such as viscosity characteristics and sealant adaptability, etc., formulated with each specific cyclopentadiene- based petroleum resin and poly alpha-olefin as the essential ingredients. CONSTITUTION:The objective inexpensive fluid with long working life, enabling weight and size reduction of equipment, esp. suitable for automotive stepless speed change gears, is formulated with, as the essential ingredients, (A) 5-30wt.% of a cyclopentadiene-based petroleum resin >=40 deg.C in softening point or >=250 in weight-average molecular weight, a thermally copolymerized product (hydride) from a cyclopentadiene compound and an alpha-olefin such as ethylene and/or a monovinyl aromatic hydrocarbon such as styrene and (B) 15-95wt.% of a branched poly alpha-olefin having weight-average molecular weight of 100-1000.
