Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enable the exact and easy alignment of an optical axis direction to an orientation axis by providing inside films which have layers consisting of high-polymer liquid crystals and have rugged shapes on the surfaces on substrates. CONSTITUTION:Transparent electrodes 2 consisting of ITO are are provided on the substrates 1. The inside films 9 constituted of only the layers 28 consisting of the high-polymer liquid crystals are formed on the transparent electrodes 2. The rugged shapes are formed on the surfaces of the inside films 9. Then, the low-polymer liquid crystal groups of the high-polymer liquid crystals are oriented in arbitrary directions and the functions of optical films are eventually imparted to the inside films 9. In addition, the rugged shapes are provided on the surfaces of the inside films 9 and, therefore, the inside films 9 eventually have the orientation function. Namely, the rugged shapes are formable on the inside films 9 on the basis of the end faces of the substrates 1 and further, the orientation treatment of the low-polymer liquid crystal groups of the high- polymer liquid crystals on the basis of the end faces of the same substrates 1 is possible.
