Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To facilitate maintenance and remove sprinkling unevenness and restrain the pressure tightness of a peat layer and realize stable humidification in the case of a device which conducts deodorization by ventilating stink gas upward into the peat layer, by bringing the water surface of a basin portion provided at the lower part of the peat layer into contact with the bottom surface of the peat layer, maintaining automatically the previously set water content rate of the peat layer. CONSTITUTION:The bottom surface of a peat layer 5 forms a saturation sphere C by coming into contact with the water surface of a basin portion 3, so a transfer sphere B and a low humidity sphere A are formed in order at the adjoining upper place of the peat layer 5. When stink gas is ventilated upward into the saturation sphere C, water evaporates out of the saturation sphere C, and the humidity of stink gas is saturated, and the dryness of the adjoining upper portion of the peat layer 5 is prevented, and the peat layer 5 as a whole maintains an adequate water amount. In addition, water evaporating from the saturation sphere C is replenished in order due to a capillary phenomenon through contact between the water surface of the basin portion 3 and the bottom surface of the peat layer 5. Accordingly, the peat layer 5 can be supplied with water continuously from the lower part.
