MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To synchronize the phase of FM carrier after shifting-up to a high frequency and a horizontal synchronizing phase after FM demodulation so as to make moire to be still to an FM demodulation signal (b) by resetting a sin-wave for multiplication in a proper phase even when reproduced FM carriers (c) and (g) are not specified with respect to a video signal. CONSTITUTION:The FM demodulator of the magnetic recording and reproducing device is provided with a sin-wave for multiplication generating circuit 18 detecting the phase difference between the horizontal synchronization (a) of the demodulated video signal and the FM carrier (n) and outputting sin-waves for multiplication (d) and (h) reset in a phase corresponding to the phase difference, a multiplying circuit 2 multiplying the FM carriers (c) and (g) by the sin-waves for multiplication (d) and (h) and a HPF circuit 3 fetching the component of the sum of the FM carriers (e) and (i) obtained by multiplying the sin- waves for multiplication (d) and (h).
