PURPOSE:To clamp a global managing system by rewriting/storing relating character and image data in another work station when character and image data in one work station is rewritten/stored. CONSTITUTION:For example, when the character and image data D2 us changed corresponding to the progress of research by a terminal computer B3 in the work station B of a research institute and it is rewritten/stored in the data base B2 of a server machine B1, the character and image data D1, D3 accumulated in the data bases A2, C2 of another work stations A, C connected to the work station B via a communication line (WAN) are changed, and they are rewritten/stored. In other words, relating data accumulated in a so-called downstream (lower rank) department can be automatically corrected simultaneously according to the change of the character and image data D2 in a so-called upstream (higher rank) department.
