Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide the instrument for measuring the degree of elasticity of the brain parenchyma which measures the external pressure of the patient's dura mater and can measure the degree of elasticity of the brain parenchyma. CONSTITUTION:An air delivery section 4 of the instrument for measuring the degree of elasticity of the brain parenchyma is so constituted that air can be delivered in two stages within a probe 3. Namely, a plunger pump 45 is moved back and forth by running of a motor 41, by which the air in a cylinder 45b is supplied to the probe 3. The first time of a brain pressure measurement is, thereupon, executed. The motor 41 is further run to additionally supply a minute quantity of the air into the probe 3 and the 2nd time of the brain pressure measurement is executed. The degree of elasticity of the brain parenchyma is decided by comparing the results of the brain pressure measurement carried out twice.
