Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a volume expanding device for a storage box, which facilitates the take out of an article which is stored in a deformable storage box such as a corrugated fiberboard box, etc., without a gap. CONSTITUTION:A corrugated fiberboard box 30, which is being carried on a belt conveyor 12, is stopped at a specified location by driving a stopper 22. Suction cups 20 to which suction force is added by a compressor 40 are brought into contact with four wall surfaces of the corrugated fiberboard box 30 by driving cylinders 44, 46. When the suction cups 20 draw the corrugated fiberboard box 30 by suction, the suction cups 20 are moved in the directions to expand the volume of the corrugated fiberboard box 30, and a gap is generated between an article which is packed in the corrugated fiberboard box 30 without a gap and the wall surfaces of the corrugated fiberboard box 30. By doing this, the take out of the article becomes easier.
