SURFACE MOUNT CONNECTOR

PURPOSE:To improve lead aligning property by providing such a constitution as fixing about the top end parts of leads by a plurality of aligning plates and determining the pitch precision between the leads according to the recessed part-to-recessed part precision of recessed parts provided on one aligning plate and the width dimension of the recessed part. CONSTITUTION:Leads 22-25 installed to an insulator 21 are inserted to the recessed parts 29 of an aligning plate 27. Projections 30 provided in at least two positions of the protruding parts 32 of the aligning plate 27 are fitted to the holes 31 of an aligning plate 28 by light press-fitting, and about the top end parts of the leads 22-25 are sandwiched by the aligning plates 27, 28 and fixed. According to this constitution, the aligning property of the leads 22-25 can be improved. Further since the pitch precision between the leads is determined depending on the precision between the recessed parts 29 of the aligning plate 27 and the width dimension of the recessed part 29, a highly precise manufacture can be performed.
