Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a combustion control method which controls an amount of air introduced from a burner to a sludge melting furnace togetherwith dried sludge. CONSTITUTION:A granule flow meter 12 is arranged in the vicinity of the outlet of a quantitative feeder 11. A converter 14 to compute a proper flow rate of air from a detected value from the granule flow meter 12 and operate a flow rate regulating valve 13 and a regulator 15 are provided. A flow rate of dried sludge fed from the quantitative feeder 11 to the granule flow meter 12 is detected and from the detected value, a proper flow rate of air is computed. Based on a computed value, the flow rate regulating valve 13 is then operated to control the flow rate of air to a proper value. This method regulates the ratio between a flow rate of air fed to a burner 3 and the flow rate of dried sludge of a granule to a value within a given range.
