Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To shorten the length of a folk part and eliminate a conventional pallet by providing a turning means at the lower part of a carriage where a fork device is installed, and providing a ram fork in the inside of a turning frame body which is placed on the upper surface of the turning means so that it may travel. CONSTITUTION:Using a stacker crane 1, a stacker crane 1 is first made to travel by a traveling device 2 and a carriage 7 is lifted by a lift device 8 to deliver a roll shaped load from the shelf of a multistory automated warehouse. Next, the motor 35 of a fork device 6 which is placed on the carriage 7 is driven to move a ram fork 28 inside a turning frame body 26, and the load is taken up to be stored in the turning frame body 26. Then the stacker crane 1 and the carriage 7 are operated again to deliver the load. At this time, the inner ring part of a turning bearing 20 is rotated through a small gear 25 by a motor 23 to turn the turning frame body 26. It is thus possible to shorten the length of the fork part and eliminate a conventional pallet.
