Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain dried matter with a water content of 10% or less and a particle size of 700mum or less without grinding water containing sludge at the time of the drying of said sludge. CONSTITUTION:An upper high speed fluidized bed part 12 and a lower air bubble fluidized bed 11 are provided in a dryer 1. The particles flying out of the high speed fluidized bed part 12 and collected by a dust collector 2 and the water-containing sludge from a sewage pump 9 are sent into a mixer 3 to be mixed. The resulting mixture is sent into the air bubble fluidized bed part 11 and fluidizing gas E is supplied to the dryer 1 from the lower part thereof. By mixing and stirring the particles and the water-containing sludge in the air bubble fluidized bed 11, the drying and grinding of the water- containing sludge are performed. The fine rising particles are heated in the high speed fluidized bed part 12. The above-mentioned cycle is repeated.
