GAS INSULATED ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To detect abnormality in the inside of an equipment in an early stage by providing a semiconductor gas sensor in a SF6 gas insulated electrical equipment, including the given quantity of air, to detect a cracked gas. CONSTITUTION:A transformer main body is housed in the inside of a vessel 1 in which a mixed gas of a SF6 gas and 10-40% of dried air are sealed. A sensor holder, having a semiconductor gas sensor 3, is fitted on the side surface of the vessel 1 so that the sensor 3 can contact the mixed gas in the vessel 1. The sensor 3 is connected to a sensor drive circuit 5 and a monitor 6 via a signal transmission line 4. When the gas sensor 3 is fitted to a SF6 gas insulated electrical equipment, the dielectric breakdown characteristic of the gas can be improved and moreover the semiconductor gas sensor too becomes operable by mixing the dried air of 10-40%.
