HEAT STORAGE TANK

PURPOSE:To stably operate a heat exchanger by obtaining predetermined temperature chilled water for a long time by making empty one of heat storage tanks and controlling in proper with a control device the opening and closing of a supply valve mounted for each cooling water, forward passage piping and a return valve mounted for each cooling water backward passage piping to supply chilled water in each heat storage tank to heat exchangers successively, and further successively circulating and supplying the chilled water raised in temperature by the heat exchangers to the empty heat storage tank. CONSTITUTION:Opening and closing of supply valves 44, 44... and return valves 50, 50... are controlled by a control device 58, and chilled water stored in ice heat storage tanks 28A to 28C is supplied to heat exchangers 48 successively. The chilled water heat-exchanged by the heat exchangers 48 and raised in temperature is uniformly poured on ice made through a heat transfer pipe 30 from a nozzle of a sprinkling device 54 via a chilled water return passage pipe 52 from a return valve 50 of an empty ice heat storage tank after passing through a chilled water return main piping 49. Hereby, the chilled water returned into the empty ice heat storage tank is immediately chilled substantially to the same temperature as ice temperature.
