Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve durability by housing acid hardening type open cell resolfoam as spacer in a container made of metal foil or metal thin plate, and next, exhausting the air inside of the container for vacuum, and thereafter, welding an opening part for seal. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum heat insulating structural member consists of a container main frame 1 made of metal foil or metal thin plate and an acid hardening type spacer 2 housed in this container main frame 1 air-tightly. In the case of manufacturing the vacuum heat insulating material, three directions of superpositioned two metal foils are welded previously to form the container main frame 1 into a bag-form, and after housing the spacer 2 in this bag-form container main frame 1, the air inside of the container main frame 1 is exhausted for vacuum, and next, an opening of the container main frame 1 is welded for seal. As the spacer 2 to be housed in the container main frame 1, acid hardening type open cell resolfoam, which does not discharge the gass in the vacuum, is used.
