Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To simplify device constitution, and to improve reliability by installing a cable cutting-holding section and a cable detecting section, applying pushing force to a cylinder by utilizing sea water pressure by cable capture information and cutting and holding a cable. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a cylinder 26 is partitioned into a high pressure zone and a low pressure zone by a sliding disc 30 with a piston rod 28. When a submarine cable is captured on the sea bottom, a cable capture signal is transmitted from a cable capture detector 38, and a valve 40 is opened. When the valve 40 is opened, sea water flows into the cylinder 26 through a check valve 34 by the hydraulic pressure of the sea bottom, and the inside of the cylinder 26 is filled with sea water at sea water pressure P1. Consequently, the disc 30 receives sea water pressure P1 and a captured cable 16 is cut, and one cable 16A cut in held by a pushing tooth 24. Even when the pushing tooth 24 is pushed out during the pulling-up of the cable, the falling-off of the held cable is prevented.
