AIR CONDITIONER FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To enhance comfortableness inside a vehicle by providing an air conditioner for the vehicle with means for deodorizing circulating air. CONSTITUTION:A filter device 3 cleans as well as deodorizes circulating air taken into a chilling unit 2. An evaporator 4 provided inside the chilling unit 2 evaporates a refrigerant circulating through a refrigerating cycle inside the chilling unit 2 when the refrigerant absorbs heat from ambient air. Air forced to pass through the evaporator 4 is cooled by evaporation of the refrigerant. An evaporator fan 5 discharges into a duct 6 conditioned air which is cooled when passed through the evaporater, and the conditioned air discharged into the duct 6 is discharged as cold air into a vehicle through a diffuser 7 to cool the inside of the vehicle. When air is allowed to pass through a PTC heater 9 heated air is discharged to the lower side of the PTC heater 9. An activated carbon filter 10 absorbs odor from the circulating air passed through the inside of the filter device 3.
