FACE FINISHING DEVICE FOR CATHODE-RAY TUBE PANEL

PURPOSE:To constantly and equally finish a face into a clean and smooth face by forming a holder for holding a finishing member out of flexible bag, and by sealing a fluid therein. CONSTITUTION:A finishing device is formed out of a finishing member 2, a holder 6 for holding this, and of a driving device 5 for rotating and moving the holder 6 on a face 1. A fluid 6b is sealed in a flexible bag 6a of the holder 6, which is pressed by load toward the face 1. When the device is used, the inner wall of the bag 6a is pressed by the fluid 6b sealed in the bag 6a by equal pressure, and the equal pressure force is worked on the entire surface of the finishing member 2 provided on the bag 6a thereby, and the member 2 comes into contact with the face 1 equally. Even when the curvature of the face 1 is large, the entire surface thereof can be equally finished into clean and smooth face, following the movement of the driving device 5.
