SEALING DEVICE FOR SHAFT

PURPOSE:To complete sealing by forming an entrance packing sealing the outer circumference of an excavator and a seal ring sealing the outer circumference of a segment and being mounted while an outer circumference is fitted to the entrance packing. CONSTITUTION:When an entrance packing 11 is installed to the peripheral section of an opening section 4 and a shield excavator 3 is started from a starting base 17, the inner circumference of the packing 11 is slid and brought into contact with the outer circumferential surface of the excavator 3, a section between the opening section 4 and the excavator 3 is sealed, and a section between a segment 6 and the excavator 3 is sealed by a tail seal 2. When the excavator 3 penetrates into the opening section 4, a seal ring 13 is pushed by a pushing means 24, and the ring 13 is installed in the opening section 4 by a built-in bolt 15. When a bolt 21 is clamped, a packing 12 is compressed and pressure-welded to the outer circumferential surface of the segment 6, and a section between the opening section 4 and the segment 6 is sealed completely.
