Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To mix fuel with air satisfactorily in an engine provided with a valve opened in high load on the upstream confluence portion of respective intake paths of two intake valves and a low load intake path bypassing said valve to communicate to a first intake path, by supplying EGR to a second intake path to increase temperature in the path. CONSTITUTION:A combustion chamber 3 has two intake ports 5, 6, and first and second intake paths 13, 14 are branched from a wall end 12 to communicate to the respective intake ports 5, 6. The wall end 12 has on the upstream portion a fuel injection valve and a shutter valve 10, and a first intake path 13 is provided with a low load intake path 15 bypassing the shutter valve 10. A EGR path 18 opens to the proximity of a port 6 of the second intake path 14. Also in low load when the shutter valve 10 is closed by this EGR gas, the interior of the second intake path 18 having small intake flow is heated, and fuel from the injection valve is sufficiently atomized to be sucked into the combustion chamber. |
