Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain the title ester useful as yarn dyeing improver in high yield without causing a lower alcohol addition product as a by-product by using an enzyme or a microorganism capable of asymmetrically hydrolyzing an ester and effecting ester exchange reaction. CONSTITUTION:In subjecting a (meth)acrylic acid lower ester shown by formula I (R1 is H or methyl; R2 is 1-4C alkyl) and an alkylaminoalkyl alcohol shown by formula II (R3 and R4 are H or 1-6C alkyl; n is 2-6) to ester exchange reaction, an enzyme or a microorganism capable of asymmetrically hydrolyzing an ester is used to give the objective ester. An enzyme derived from a fungus belonging the genus Rhizopus or Mucor is preferably used as the enzyme.
