CORRUGATED HONEYCOMB

PURPOSE:To obtain a corrugated honeycomb with fast water absorption properties, water dissipation properties, water resistance, durability, washing properties by using a thermosetting resin-carrying non-woven fabric with a number of open cells and fast water absorption properties as a flat sheet and a corrugation molding sheet. CONSTITUTION:A corrugated honeycomb consists of a corrugated processed sheet 1 having a constitution wherein a flat sheet 1a and a corrugation molding sheet 1b are laminated and adhered or a multi-step structure laminated and adhered in multi- steps. As the flat sheet 1a and the corrugation molding sheet 1b, a thermosetting resin-carrying non-woven fabric with a number of open cells and fast water absorption properties is used and it is especially pref. that the thermosetting resin-carrying non- woven fabric is a non-woven fabric obtd. by impregnating it with thermosetting resin fine particles and curing it by heating. The corrugated honeycomb has fast water absorption properties; it exhibits less decrease in strength when it absorbs moisture or it is brought into contact with water; it does not deform and can be washed with water and can be repeatedly used. Industrial production thereof is possible and it provides such properties as fast water absorption properties, water dissipation properties, water resistance, durability, washing properties, solvent resistance and chemicals- carrying properties.
