Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To eliminate cross talk and transmission distortion independently by inserting a couple of reference signals having a specific relation at a sender side to a television signal and forming plural transversal filters to be an equalizer to simulate the cross talk and transmission distortion at a receiver side in the two-line parallel orthogonal modulation demodulation transmission system. CONSTITUTION:A tap coefficient of transversal filters TF3, 4 is set to zero. A reference signal at an I phase is detected at a point A at a time t1 and the tap coefficient of the TF 1 is controlled to equalize the transmission distortion as to the I phase signal. Then a reference signal at a Q phase is detected at a point B at a time t2 and the tap coefficient of the TF 2 is controlled to equalize the transmission distortion as to the Q phase signal. Moreover, the center tap coefficient only of the TFs 3,4 is set to 1 to detect the signal at the point B at the time t1. Since the signal is a pure crosstalk component, the tap coefficient of the TF 3 is controlled so that the signal is zero. Then the signal is detected at the point A at the time t2 to control the tap coefficient of the TF 4 to be zero.
