Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the subject fiber suitable as industrial materials by dissolving a polyethylene terphthalate polymer in a solvent containing hexafluoroisopropanol, dry-spinning the dope to form a gelatinous fiber and drawing the fiber in gelatinous state. CONSTITUTION:A polymer composed essentially of polyethylene terephthalate and having an intrinsic viscosity of =40 wt.% of hexafluoroisopropanol and the dope is subjected to dry-spinning to obtain a gelatinous fiber. The objective fiber can be produced by drawing the fiber in a gelatinous state.
