Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide a light weight, thin battery capable of easy mass production by using a negative plate manufactured by coating a lead alloy thin film having a synthetic resin thin film bonded to its back with an active material. CONSTITUTION:A negative plate is formed by coating a lead alloy thin film 1 having a synthetic thin film 4 bonded to its back with an active material 6. For example, a lead alloy thin film 1 having a lug 2 is formed by press forming so as to have a grid-shaped projection 3, and a lead alloy thin film 1 is bonded on the surface of a synthetic resin thin film 4 through an adhesive layer 5. An active material 6 is filled in the concavity formed by the projection 3. This process provides a thin, compact, and light weight battery capable of continuous production of a plate.
