CONSTITUTION:When output voltage is made higher than fixed voltage, currents are made to flow through a shunt regulator 20, and reference voltage is formed by a photo-coupler and a resistor 5. The difference of the reference voltage and output voltage obtained through a diode 11 from the winding of a main transformer 13 is amplified by an error amplifier circuit in a control IC, the output voltage of said error amplifier circuit and the output voltage of the triangular wave signal of an oscillation circuit are compared, and the continuity time of a switching element 12 is controlled. Voltage at the node of a resistor 2 and a resistor 3 is increased and the maximum continuity time is shortened when input voltage is high, and voltage at the node of the resistor 2 and the resistor 3 is lowered and the maximum continuity time is lengthened when input voltage is low.
