Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic thermal recording paper capable of being printed on a magnetic recording layer thereof, by coating the magnetic recording layer with a water base pigmented coating material comprising a pigment and a binder as main constituent to provide a pigmented coated layer. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive coating material comprising a color forming leuco dye, a color developer for developing the color of the dye when being heated and a binder as main constituents is applied to one side of a raw paper to provide a thermal recording layer. A magnetic coating material comprising a magnetic powder and a binder as main constituents is applied to the other side of the raw paper to provide a magnetic recording layer, and a water base pigmented coating material comprising a pigment and a binder as main constituent is applied to the magnetic recording layer to provide a pigmented coated layer. The raw paper may be a woodfree paper, a converting paper or the like having a basis weight of 40-300g/m . The magnetic powder may be a powder of gamma-iron oxide, cobalt-modified gamma-iron oxide, chromium oxide, barium ferrite or the like.
