IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent an image being converted from being disordered by speeding up image conversion and providing a circuit which converts (inverts) color information on an image. CONSTITUTION:The image conversion part 8 which performs conversion processing corresponding to a noninversion/inversion display mode signal supplied from a central processing unit (CPU) 1 is interposed between a look-up table(LUT) 5 and a digital/analog converter(DAC) 6. The image conversion part 8 consists of an image processing part (inverting circuit) 81, an image switching part (switching circuit) 82, and an image conversion indication part 83. The inverting circuit 81 inverts output color data R, G, and B of a palette memory 81 as to brightness to prepare uninverted color data and inverted color data and a switching circuit 82 selects the uninverted color data or inverted color data according to a noninversion/inversion display mode and supplies it to a display part 7 to realize a inversion/noninversion display. Consequently, the image conversion is performed fast and the image being converted is prevented from being disordered.
