FRAMEWORK ASSEMBLING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To automate assemblage of a framework and raise the work efficiency by using a stationary base including a lateral clamp means to clamp a U-shaped frame and a breadth expansion means to expand a longitudinal frame constituent at the opposite end, a stationary base inclding a holding means to hold a second frame constituent and a movable base to move for short distances. CONSTITUTION:A framework assembling device 1 includes a stationary base 1 which supports a U-shaped frame 7 assembled in advance and conveyed by a conveyance device 8 on its upper surface and a movable base 12 provided with a holding means 13 whereby a second lateral frame constituent 4 is automatically put in the U-shaped frame 7 supported on the stationary base 11. Longitudinal frame constituents 2, 2 of the U-shaped frame 7 fixed on the stationary base 11 are expanded on the opposite ends thereof by pressing the vicinity thereof. The second lateral constituent 4 is then positioned by bringing the end thereof in contact with an upright piece 76 and so, in this state, held with a sticking means 47. Subsequently, the second lateral frame constituent 4 is erected by an extension-retreat means 59 and the movable base 12 is brought near to th4 stationary base 11 with a cylinder 47 at the same time, so that the second lateral frame constituent 4 is inserted into the expanded longitudinal frame constituent 2 at the opposite end 2a.
