Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To use a catalyst in a long and stabilized manner and manufacture acrylamide in an industrially profitable manner by treating a Raney copper catalyst with lowered activity by means of alkali water solution, and then treating the same with ammonium chloride water solution. CONSTITUTION:Acrylamide is contact synthesize by reacting acrylonitrile with water in a liquid phase in the presence of a Raney copper catalyst. The Raney copper catalyst used and lowered in its activity is treated with an alkali water solution such as caustic soda or caustic potash, and then continuously treated with ammonium chloride water solution. At that time, said Raney copper catalyst is renewed and activated. The catalyst, therefore, can be used stably for a long time, and acrylamide can be manufacture in an industrially profitable manner.
