Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To measure a moving error and a tilt error of a magnetic head before the magnetic head is assembled into a device with high accuracy, to improve the work efficiency and to reduce the measuring time by operating position data and a tilt angle before and after the movement and operating the tilt error in a direction at a right angle to the moving direction of an object to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A measuring jig 2 with plural light shield members 28 arranged thereto is fitted to an object to be measured, a drive signal in response to a setting value is inputted to a motor 6 to move the measured object 5. Then the position of the light shield members 28 before and after the movement of the measured object 5 is measured and the moving distance error of the measured object 5 is operated from a setting value and the measured difference among the position data before and after the movement. Then a tilt angle before and after the movement of the object 5 to be measured is operated from the position data before and after the movement of the object 5 to be measured and the distance among the plural light shield members 28, and a tilt error in a direction at a right angle to the moving direction of the object 5 to be measured is operated from the difference of the operated data. Thus, the position data and the tilt angle before and after the movement of the magnetic head are measured with high accuracy on the way of the process before the magnetic head is assembled in a device finally, and the work efficiency is improved and the measuring time is reduced.
