Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of construction by inserting a heat pipe into natural ground, turning to the circumferential portion of a tunnel to be excavated, and freezing the natural ground with an evaporator element of the pipe via a coolant colled up by a refrigerating plant. CONSTITUTION:A heat pipe 1 is inserted into natural ground, turning to a circumferential part 24 of a tunnel 22 to be excavated, and a condenser 8 of this pipe 1 is cooled by a refrigerating plant 15, with a coolant cooled via a jacket 17. In addition, the natural ground, turning to the circumferential portion 24 of the tunnel 22 to be excavated is frozen into a cryogenic level in a quick manner, excavating the tunnel 22. With this constitution, a construction period is reducible in addition to reduction in construction cost.
