CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of material selected from a group consisting of Y2O3 and the compds. which are thermally decomposed into Y2O3 by calcina tion and at least one kind of material selected from a group consisting of Al2O3 and the compd. which are thermally decomposed into Al2O3 by calcination are mixed so that the molar ratio of Y2O3 to Al2O3 after calcination is con trolled to 0.374:0.626 to 0.40:0.60, and the mixture is calcined at 500-1300 deg.C.
