WORD PROCESSOR

PURPOSE:To efficiently perform a working processing by preserving data and displaying the data in a set format area and an identification mark on a screen at the time when data exceeds the set format area. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 12 compares the table data stored in a document memory 14 with a preliminarily formatted area; and if it is judged that each row is edited while exceeding the set format area, characters stored in an input buffer 13 or a document memory 14 are converted to corresponding dot patterns by a CG generator 15, and they are outputted to a display memory 17. Display data from the CPU 12 is stored in the display memory 17, and the data in the format area range is displayed on a display part 19 through a driver 18, and the identification mark is displayed in the identification position of the rightmost end of the area. Thus, overflow data is returned into the format area range and used again by the following column deletion processing.
