PATTERN RECOGNIZING DEVICE USING NEUTRAL NETWORK

PURPOSE:To correct the erroneous recognition by adopting each recognition result of a second place or below it when the recognition result of a first place is an erroneous recognition by unifying the recognition results of two discriminat ing means and outputting a final recognition result. CONSTITUTION:When a pattern of a voice of a recognition object is inputted to a voice input part 1, a voice parameter set for showing a feature of the pattern of its voice is extracted, and given to a first place candidate discriminating neutral network 2 and each second place candidate discriminating neutral network 61 - 66. In the network 2, one of six categories /b/d/g/p/t/k/ is selected and given to a deciding part 3. For instance, when the network 2 outputs /b/ to the deciding part 3, the deciding part 3 outputs a signal corresponding thereto to an external device 4 as a recognition result of a first place, and also, as the result of discrimination of a second place candidate discriminating neutral network 61 for discriminating other five consonants except /b/ being a recognition result of a first place, for instance, when it is /p/, a signal corresponding thereto is outputted to the device as a discrimination result of a second place. In such a way, the recognition result of a first place and the recognition of a second place are outputted to the device 4 as /b/ and /p/, respectively.
